Overview
Childcare during the summer months 2024:
The City of Leoben offers a seasonal childcare provision in kindergartens and nurseries from 8 July to 30 August 2024.
Registration process
- Registration for children who attend a municipal childcare facility was open online from Monday, 1 April to Tuesday, 30 April 2024. A QR code for registration was provided.
- If your child attends a private childcare facility, you was able to register them from Monday, 22 April to Friday, 26 April 2024 at City Hall, room no. 111, Erzherzog Johann-Straße 2, 8700 Leoben. Please bring a confirmation of kindergarten attendance.
- Registration is only open for children who already attend a childcare facility.
- You can put your child’s name on a waiting list at a later date. To do so, please contact Referat Bildung
- Applications from working parents will be given priority.
- Applications from parents of children from outside Leoben can only be considered on a lower priority basis.
Documents you will need
For the registration you need the following documents:
- The completed registration form for the childcare facility of your choice and applications for fee reduction if applicable
- Residence registration certificate (Meldezettel) of the child
- Confirmation of kindergarten attendance if your child attends a private kindergarten

Discounts are granted on the costs of childcare depending on the parents’ income and number of children.
