Hinterberg is a quiet residential area. It offers the benefit of direct proximity to the local recreational area of Häuselberg with its very attractive hiking, running and climbing routes.

The headquarters, production site and the research facility of AT&S, a leading global player and producer of printed circuit boards, are also located in Leoben-Hinterberg.

History

Hinterberg is a relatively young quarter; the first residential buildings were only constructed in the 1980s here. However, it can be safely assumed that people have lived here for thousands of years, since cists dating from the Hallstatt period have been excavated here.
